The concert marks the Tibetan New Year and is the third time that Dadon has performed at Oddfellows. Tibetan pop star (and Middletown resident) Dadon (pronounced Dah-june) returns to Oddfellows Playhouse for a program of original music at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The concert will be preceded at 4:15 p.m. The orchestra will present new works by students in one of Wesleyan's composition classes and will be led by students from the conducting class. The Wesleyan University Orchestra, directed by Angel Gil-Ordonez, hosts a Symphonic Workshop at 5 p.m. The program will include works by Villa-Lobos, Mozart and "Symphony No. The Yale Symphony Orchestra, with music director Shinik Hahm, will perform at 8 p.m. The program can also be heard Sunday at 3 p.m. The host for the program is Charles Wadsworth. Performers will include Todd Palmer (clarinet), Cynde Iverson (bassoon), Patrick Pridemore (horn), Ani Kavafian (violin), Theodore Arm (viola), Sophie Shao (cello) and Lou Paer (double bass). at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme (Lyme Street and Ferry Road). The fourth concert in the 2000-01 Musical Masterworks series will feature a rare performance of Beethoven's "Septet for Clarinet, Bassoon, French horn, and Four Strings." The show will begin at 5 p.m. For the concert, he'll be joined on several selections by second guitarist Scott Sanchez.
